Privacy policy

When you use the contact or application form, B.A.T. Services processes the information you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, message or motivation and, for an application, your optional CV. This data is used solely to answer your question, contact you or assess your application. It is not retained longer than necessary for these purposes or legal obligations.

When this website is hosted on B.A.T. Services' PHP hosting, forms are sent over a secure server connection using MailerSend. When the website is opened directly from a computer, the visitor's email client opens as a fallback. MailerSend acts as a processor for B.A.T. Services. More information is available in MailerSend's privacy policy and Data Processing Addendum.

To prevent misuse, the forms use technical spam checks such as a hidden field, submission-time validation, limited content analysis and a request limit. These checks are used solely to block unwanted automated messages and are not used for profiling.

B.A.T. Services BV is responsible for processing this data and is committed to protecting personal data to the best of its ability through appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Your choice in the cookie banner is stored for seven days in your browser's local storage under the name bat_cookie_consent. This is necessary to remember your choice. The stored value is limited to “accepted” or “rejected”, together with the expiry date, and contains no contact details.

External media

The home page contains a YouTube video in privacy-enhanced mode and the contact page contains a Google Maps map. These external services are only loaded after you give explicit consent. When you accept external media, Google and YouTube may process your IP address, device information and usage data, among other data, and may place cookies or similar technologies.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

You can reopen and change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page. If you reject external media, the embedded YouTube video and Google Maps will not load. Cookies or local data already placed on your device by an external service following earlier consent can be removed through your browser's privacy settings.
